was born in Queens, N.Y.
At the age of 18 he had moved to Philadelphia where he then came across community events which showcased traditional Bomba music & dance from Puerto Rico.
Presented by Familia Rojas, Maribel Lozada and a few others.
His love for the music grew and he decided to educate himself through many workshops from local and out of state Bomba & Plena Practitioners as well as many visits to the island of Puerto Rico.
As of today Anthony is the owner and director of
Los Bomberos De La Calle as well as teaching and collaborating in many in school and afterschool programs including weekend classes that are offered to the community which has been taking place since 2012.
Performances and jam sessions also happen in el barrio de Philly as well as Parrandas during the holidays and Private events for anyone who would like to enjoy these heavy soulful sounds of Bomba & Plena music from Puerto Rico.
